Andy Pettit

Andy has been with the Stark Ravens since it was in its infancy…hence his childish behavior. Before his rapture with the Ravens, Andy had been in several plays and musicals and has played a variety of rolls from innocent Lenny in “Of Mice and Men” to the leather dominator, Iron Stud in “Cyberqueer”. Most recently he originated the role of Larry in the world premier of the first Bear musical “Big Dipper”, and as kind and fatherly Pimp Santa Bear in the first full length premier of “Tenderloin Christmas Hustler”.

His past adventures in the Renaissance circuit include acting with La Perduta Commedia and founding member of Famiglia Formaggio. With the Stark Ravens, he’s seen as Antonio, the devout and confused manservant of Sebastian in ‘Twelfth Night”. In “Love’s Labours Lost”, he’s the boisterous Don Adriano de Armado.

At the Dickens Christmas Fair with the Ravens, he was found in “Alice in Wonderland” as the persnickety White Rabbit as well as the loveable petit Dormouse. He also wore the hat of director for Stark Ravens Spectacular Christmas Pantomime, “Puss In Boots and the Island of Lost Jewels”. “It’s GREAT!!! It’s the closest thing to being cartoon characters we can get without killing ourselves.” Andy has said about the Panto. In that production, you may have caught a glimpse of him as one of the menacing Cathay Guards or tapping into your hearts as the juiciest lobster in the lobster quadrille. During several incarnations of the Panto, he played Queen Bess, Joey the Clown, the Butcher and the rascally Pan where he was heard saying: “Why do I have to make fur pants? I’m naturally furry! I can just go naked!” He was coerced into making fur pants. His latest Ravens venture is annoying the writers of Panto 2.0; a production the Ravens will bring to the stage in the winter of 2009. “Some of my funny lines were cut. Something about it being a ‘family show’” Andy was quoted as saying.

Most all of Andy’s training comes from the TONS of talented actors he’s been privileged to perform with, including the Stark Ravens.
